Spotlight (2015)

Spotlight focuses on the Boston Globe newspaper's writers who are trying to whitewash itself and illuminate the harassment of a church that came up with the harassment incident. The "Spotlight" team, composed of the newspaper's writers, digs up old notebooks about allegations of harassment in the Catholic Church. As a result of a year of research, the facts that have been hidden for decades of Boston's high-level religious, legal and administrative union are addressed. When newly appointed editor-in-chief Marty Baron arrives from Miami to head the Globe in the summer of 2001, he tasked the Spotlight team with following an article about a local priest accused of sexually abusing dozens of children over the course of 30 years.
