In the late 1950s, when Ip Man, who lived a quiet life, went to pick up his son from school, he met a man named Cheung Tin-chi, who was also interested in Wing Chun. After their chance encounter, a bond begins to form between the two fathers. Meanwhile, a gang leader named Sang begins to seize property in the neighborhood.
