Forced to leave Gandalf at the entrance of the forest, the team becomes the prisoners of the forest elves, thinking they have escaped the webs of the giant spiders. Meanwhile, the Orcs under the leadership of Azog, whose power is increasing day by day, do not leave the dwarves behind for a moment, even in the elven kingdom that seems safe. The main and toughest enemy waiting for the dwarves and Bilbo, both fighting for survival and trying to advance to the Laketown and then to the Lonely Mountain, is undoubtedly Smaug.

Senator Amidala, who comes to Coruscant to vote, narrowly escapes an assassination attempt. Palpatine then assigns Obi Wan and Anakin Skywalker to protect Amidala.
